These are digital sketches of the logo, and at the time, I settled with using the script typeface of the uppercase N and rotating it vertically to resemble a hair strand. Then I swatched different colors; I started with muted neutral colors and then decided to brighten and use a different color scheme.

I decided to upload this project; it was created in 2018 during my design undergrad studies. The purpose of this project was to develop an app that helped women, mainly Black women and people with coils, curls, and multiple hair textures, to find informative ways to care for their hair. They also document their hair journey and interact with others to share their hair tips, concerns and encourage others along the natural hair journey. I wanted the colors to be fun and vibrant, and the logo design resembles a curly hair strand. The name Naturel Noir is French for natural black tying back to natural hair and its beauty. These images include a pitch board, wireframes, and personas.
